My story
For many years, I was a successful lawyer and mediator. My life looked very different from the work I do today.
After my first child was born, I experienced depression for the first time. After my third, I went through a far more severe postpartum depression. It was a painful time, and it also became the beginning of a completely different chapter in my life.
For me, the right choice was a path without medication. I set out to find another way forward, one that would help me understand what was happening inside me, reconnect with myself and begin to heal. That search brought me to extraordinary doctors, mentors, teachers and healers. I learned from each of them, and just as much from my own experience.
In time, I recovered. And when I did, I felt a strong desire to share what I had learned with other women. I began creating courses and workshops with practical ways for women to understand their thoughts, build a kinder relationship with themselves and feel more supported from within. I wrote about that journey in my book, Crawling to Freedom.
As I continued this work, a question began to grow in me:
Why do we wait until people are already struggling to give them these tools, instead of teaching them much earlier?
That question became a turning point. I understood that my work was not only about healing after pain. It was also about prevention, giving people emotional tools before they reach a crisis.
That belief led me to Amity, an initiative focused on preventing loneliness and strengthening emotional connection. Through Amity, I found a way to bring this work into education, so children can learn self-awareness, resilience and healthier relationships with themselves and others, much earlier in life.
Alongside this, I am a member of Lion of Judah-Israel (LOJI), a women's philanthropic community supporting the advancement of women and girls in Israel, as part of an international network.
Today I continue to work with women, sharing what shaped my own journey and helping them build a healthier relationship with themselves. At the same time, through Amity, I write and develop the educational program that brings this work to children and educators.
